The scrip scans every php file on your site and checks for a vulnerable version of timthumb, if found you are given the option to automatically update the file to the newest version.
The script scans the vulnerable version on your site and extracts the cache directory location and inserts it into the new version of timthumb thus meaning your script should work straight away. (unless you have added any external domains yo your allow list, you will have to manually add these)
3.The script also scans the php files for the most common exploits in-case you have already been hacked. There is also an option to make it scan .html, .htm and other files(you should un-comment these in the php file)
