Secure Network Management Tool project aims to allow a network administrator to remotely monitor and configure Cisco network devices such as switches and routers. It will have a GUI to visualize the network. The GUI will display the link status with different colors. The configuration changes will be done over a secure connection and again by using a GUI.
In this project, we will develop a tool that will be used to configure network devices such as routers and switches in a network topology. Our main goal is to make the network administrators’ job easy by presenting them with an easy to use user interface to manage network devices.
The tool will show the current status of the devices and allow configuration to be made on them. Since the project involves configuration and management of network devices, security is one of the main concerns for this project.
