A userland driver for talking to GPIB / IEE-488 devices from a PC parallel port.
This scheme involves a straightforward physical adapter, and those who have the necessary connectors lying around and don"t feel like spending money on a proper interface may find it handy.
The current implementation is a C library. A Python wrapper is included. Currently only Linux is explicitly supported, but support for other platforms will be added if there is sufficient interest.
