This project (iroid) started by the KNUST GTUG in Ghana is a remote desktop administration tool for android based mobile phones. The application consists of a server which runs on the remote machine to be controlled and a client which runs on the android based mobile phone. The server listens for connection from the client app and open recieving a connection, the client is authenticated before authorized to control the PC running the server application.
With this system, users can type on the android phone and get it displayed on the servers screen. Users can also control the mouse movement , launch any application and virtually do anything he/she does locally behind the machine just that this time it done remotely from an android based mobile phone.
