JamJam is a PHP/Shoutcast based system for streaming your favorite music across the internet and allowing your listeners to add songs. Think of it as an internet-wide jukebox.
JamJam started its life in 2001 as a classic ASP site known as radioAsoell where co-workers at a small advertising agency in central Ohio could share and listen to music during the work day. After some scalability issues, the application was scrapped and re-written entirely in PHP, moved to Chicago, and rebranded as Radio Shatterbloom. After a successful three-year run, the server was corrupted and all of the code was lost in its entirety.
In the Spring of 2008, a very old version of the version 2 code was found and used as the inspiration for a complete object-oriented PHP re-write of JamJam.
