This project is based on the challenge ROADEF 2007, described in http://www.g-scop.inpg.fr/ChallengeROADEF2007/index.php?page=6&lang=1 The problem in questions is a problem proposed by France Telecom, a telecommunications company. The problem consists in finding a certain configuration of technician teams that meets certain constraints and minimizes the time needed to perform a series of interventions, where technicians have different skill sets, availability and other characteristics. We proposed, implemented and evaluated some constructive heuristics, and a genetic algorithm as solutions for this problem. A full report of the findings can be found in the Downloads section.
