Snowfox is a file manager which makes tagging a part of the desktop user-experience. Tags in Snowfox are called “contexts”, and they help you organize your files better.
Following the footsteps of its spiritual sibling, Snowfox lets you tweak every aspect of its user interface to suit the needs of a context. This vital ability reduces clutter from your everyday work-flow and lets you access your files more quickly and meaningfully.
Snowfox also introduces the concept of a start-page for your desktop. A start-page is like a RSS feed reader. It shows a list of recent files for selected contexts. This is different from the traditional “Recent Documents” that Windows users are used to. Instead of a system wide recent files, you can view “Recent Homework”, “Recent Family Pictures” or “Recent Whatever you can think of”.
