The LanguageKeepingTabs extension automatically keeps track of an input language, selected by user in each tab, and restores appropriate language, while the user switches back and forth between tabs.
The extension includes a NPAPI plugin, which is currently available for Windows platform only.
After installation the extension injects a special object (serviced by provided NPAPI plugin) into every new tab and just sits in background. Every 1 second it checks current input language and stores this info in a property of the object. When a user leaves a tab the monitoring is stopped for this tab. Once [s]he returns to the tab, the extension reads previously selected input language from the object and automatically re-activates the language for this tab.
Note: the extension itself is activated only after a user typed an URL in the address bar. If a tab is opened and left empty, the extension is not there yet, and thus does not monitor
