Many network monitoring products have evolved over years addressing different needs of an enterprise, mainly distributed system monitoring. They have evolved to such an level that the complexity in setting up such an monitoring system is very high and requires more time and money managing them. An easy and a simple solution is often lacking and also only big enterprises can afford at such large scale. Small Offices and Home Offices simply cannot afford to such an solution both from the technical and financial level.
