Application that runs as a Window service or as Unix deamon process that exposes services using .NET remoting.
It comes with a few standard services that are quite useful:
* Logging service, one central point for important logging (although I would recommend using it for debug logging).
* Configuration service, one central point for all configuration.
* Task service for scheduling and executing tasks.
