The ImagesByName People Project, hosted by theHTPC.net, is under development to help provide a high-quality source of cast and crew member images for various HTPC software front-end products. Currently, theHTPC.net cast and crew members are a showcased plugin in the popular metadata application, meta.
The ImagesByName term, itself, comes from the popular Windows Media Center plugin - Media Browser.
The application allows for volunteers to access a central repository of images that require replacement to meet minimum quality standards as defined by the project. The volunteers can then search for and, if necessary, edit an image for submission and subsequent addition to the main IBN People Project library.
