The project does the following:
- Ability to organize picture albums, upload pictures, view them etc
- Two set of passwords for each login, one for readonly (you give it so people can look at the albums) the other one read / write, you use to add / remove albums, add / remove pictures, etc
- You can upload more than one picture at one time with one file upload field, with google chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- You can create a job then attach pictures from multiple albums to this job, then a cron job will bundle the pictures and you will be able to download them - for printing
- The pictures are stored in the original resolution. Two additional pictures are created on the fly for thumbnail and screen view. Regardless, your original picture will be the one downloaded part of the jobs so that you can print it at maximum resolution.
- The site is database driven, all right, but the pictures are stored on the file system, easy to backup, copy etc
