Our design will have a 2 dimensional information space. Each dimension
will be mapped to a single keyword. For the example of the New Yorker
magazine, we would have one axes map to "high-brow" and the other map
to "brilliant." Then we will query images based on these keywords and
place them on our graph depending on how well they match the term. So
each term essentially would have 0 - 100% matching of "high-brow" and
0 - 100% matching of "brilliant." Within the information space, we
will also group images into more well-defined groups. Images will
originally be scaled down, and hovering over a group will zoom in on
that group. Hovering over a specific picture also will zoom in further
on that picture.
Our targeted group of archetypal users has some of the following
characteristics:
-people who have recently bought a digital camera
-an older aged audience
-users interested in music/culture of the 1970"s
