Use cups scheduler as a message queue system.
To achieve this a set of backends and frontends will be provided to support message transport with common file transfer protocols, starting with ftp. Support for other protocols such as scp or http is planned but implementation depends on our needs (or the needs of those using this stuff).
In a far future it should be possible to use the cups modular architecture to provide filters for message format transformation. But today this is far off... or do you feel like taking this challenge? (if so, pls. contact me!)
Right now the only downloads provided are tarballs of he trunk to ease rollout in testbeds, at least those are condsidered containing functional code but alpha quality! If you feel like using some of this stuff please chekout the svn snapshot as described in the "source" tab. We will come up with tarballs, packages etc when we consider this fit for a release :)
