This project supports the publication of biodiversity data according to internationally-recognised data formats using pre-configured Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files. The two primary data types are 1) Primary Biodiversity Data such as are represented in natural history collections or species observational data and 2) Simple species checklists.

The Encyclopedia of Life
The Data Conservancy (a DataOne project)
The project addresses a requirement expressed by biodiversity data publishers or simplified publishing solutions, particularly in areas where web-based publication is hampered by low-bandwidth, irregular uptime, and inconsistent access.
