This program is a small windows audio sessions mixer that can be controlled with midi controller.
I use this tool with a novation midi controller. With this setup, I can have the volume of 8 applications at my fingertips. I can open soundforge, wavausor, Foobar2000, chrome and Wwise and be able to mute all these app easily or change their volume.
The main reason for making this app are:
* Windows mixer UI can be hard to reach.
* Windows mixer can take some time before it opens... and by that time you might already have blew you ears with that sine tone playing at 0 dB.
* Windows mixer has linear control over the volume... which is bad because upper half is 0 to -6dB range and the bottom part is -6dB to -96dB.
* Windows mixer cannot be controlled by midi :-)
A lot of improvement could be made on it, specially for the UI. This is a dead simple project that was done over a weekend time.<
