magma
magma is a tiny asf muxer/encoder used to author/combine/mux asf files.
it is based on the new windows vista/7 media foundation framework, with hardware accelerated encoders in the works. (win7 version only)
partial list of features:
* select individual streams to work with
* remux asf (fixes many broken asf files generated by mencoder)
* re-encode asf streams
1. supported audio codecs: wma1, wma2, wma-pro, aac, mp3
1. supported video codecs: wmv1, wmv2, wmv3, vc1, x264, mpeg4
* supports raw streams (pcm, yuv, etc)
* supports streamers and pipes input/output
* many more undocumented features
please note that magma is by no means a complete product, it is a tiny tool originally written for a very specific reason - streaming video with multichannel audio to the X360.
all other features are extras that are being gradually improved.
documentation is currently lacking and will be added in the future.
