Many degree programs are structured around broad choice, often across multiple departments to offer students the option of following routes into new interdisciplinary fields. This makes it harder for administrators to co-ordinate teaching and to ensure that all students are enrolled on valid combinations.
This module is intended to help administrators whose institutional student information systems do not support their needs in this area. It enables students to register and validate choices for courses up to a particular deadline each term/semester, and administrators to view their choices, send notifications and make appropriate teaching arrangements.
The module is based on a "Student Choices" module extending an existing departmental management system but is designed to be readily adaptable to stand alone or accept other data sources.
