Arduino code for the XoomF3F timer
The XoomF3F timer is based on the Arduino Mega2560 (Atmel AVRMega2560 processor) hardware.
It incorporates a 24x8 LCD display, an SD memory card slot, a u-blox LEA6A GPS engine for precision timing and a XBee wireless module for communications with possible future devices.
There are inputs for the 2 buzzer switches and outputs to drive 4 different sounders.
Optional inputs are provided for wind speed (pulsed) and direction (analogue 0..5V) and temperature sensors (1-wire).
The device provides timing for F3F competitions taking a list of competitors on SD memory card and providing results in the form of a simple text file on the same card. When coupled with a small (typically netbook class) computer the timer can implement a live website with results updated with each leg flown.
