The unit is made to recieve PWM signal from the reciever of a ordinary radio transmitter used for hobby models and send an infra red (IR) commands to a Sony camera with IR remote control reciever. For compatible cameras, see user manual. The commands are shutter still picture and video record toggling On or OFF. The unit will typical be controlled with a 3 position switch on the radio transmitter.
