This project supports development of open source engine control software that runs on FreeScale MPC5xxx CPUs such as the MPC5634, MPC5674F and MPC5643L. Forum discussion is here.

Note that ST is doing some interesting things and has a nice IDE that supports ChibiOS/RT and various device drivers on ST chips that are identical to FreeScale MPC56xx chips.
CAN I/O was tested. See the downloads section for the code.
