The project is based on requirement from the client, to authenticate multiple web applications running in different sub-domains but same domain, using a single web service. Concept is that all individual services have to be authenticated by a centralized authentication application, so that account information of users are centralized and is accessible from all services running in that domain.
Example is SSO implemented google.
