You might find using Maven with Tapestry to be a far easier/better way to get up and running quickly.
The is a Windows only project, and has been tested exclusively with Windows XP
If you are looking for a very simple Ant based solution then this project is for you. What this tool will do is allow you to run the command
{{ simpletapestry name }}
Project name should be a single alpha-numeric work
This command will create a folder named after your project name and will create a simple structure to get you up and running with Tapestry.
Installation
Download the simpletapestry zip file from the link on the right
Unzip the package and move it to a location of your choice. I recommend C:simpletapestry.
Add the path to the simpletapestry home to the environmental variable SIMPLETAPESTRY_HOME
Add %SIMPLETAPESTRY_HOME%in to your path environmental variabl
