Scent Dome is an odour generation device for virtual environments developed by TriSenx.
It consists of a micro-controller, 2 fans for dispersion of odour, and 20 encapsulated chemical chambers each connected to a valve. The official list of the essential oils contained in the chambers can be found on their website.
Operation commands are issued from a PC via the RS-232 serial port using their proprietary software, Scent Design Studio. There is a hardware limitation of opening up to 4 valves simultaneously. More technical description of both the hardware and software can be found in my research paper.
