This project seeks to create an intuitive and novel way for interacting and navigating three dimensional spaces through a two dimensional surface and the gestures of ones own body. Simple gestures are mapped to the manipulation of a virtual camera and space. Through ones movement one can simultaneously pan, zoom and orbit around models. This is accomplished by tracking ones movements via infrared sensors attached to ones fingers which are tracked with a Wimote. Through this act it is hoped that a greater relationship between the user and some three dimensional object, graph or space is established both bridging the virtual and the physical and bringing clarity to complex and confusing three dimensional structures and systems.
