The IHI-OpenHDS is a customization of OpenHDS (http://code.google.com/p/openhds). IHI-OpenHDS maintains a consistent record of significant demographic events that occur to a population in a fixed geographic regions in Tanzania (currently Ifakara Urban, Ifakara Rural and Rufiji), generate up to date registration books, and compute basic demographic rates (births/age, deaths, etc). IHI-OpenHDS also customizes the mobile component provided in OpenHDS where data entry can be performed while in the field.
