DisPerSE stands for "Discrete Persistent Structures Extractor". The main purpose of this project is to do efficient segmentation of 2D and 3D images, meshes and discretely sampled distributions to identify persistent topological features such as peaks, voids, walls and in particular filamentary structures.
DisPerSE algorithm is based on Discrete Morse theory and persistent homology.
