This program was written specifically to control a large 8X8 matrix display - The MIDAS (Massively Insane Display Array System) - through the use of solid state relays driven by a MAX7219 matrix driver and using the Vixen open source lighting control software. Although the SSRs ultimately never functioned properly, the code works perfectly when connected to a small LED matrix. To use Vixen with this program, set up the Generic Serial output profile with 64 channels and a baud of 57600. Note: you may have to manually change the serial port assignment of your Arduino to COM1,2,3, or 4 depending on what is available. Vixen cannot see past COM4 currently. This software was developed in a Windows environment.
