This code is released after a long research work intended to build an Enterprise Storage server which can act as:
- Fibre Channel Target
- iSCSI Target
- iSCSI to Fibre Channel gateway (and vice-versa)
To achieve the result I used "Scientific Linux 6.1", but the procedure is compatible with all Enterprise Linuxes 6.x: CentOS 6.x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x (RHEL), ...
On the software side, I used the SCST subsystem, with these application modules:
- iSCSI-SCST
- qla2x00tgt (FC Target for QLogic QLA 2x00-based cards)
The kernel is essentially a stock "-el6" kernel with all the compatibility and performance patches needed for SCST (iSCSI and qla2x00tgt) already applied.
