Model based technologies are used to provide abstractions to the runtime system in the monitoring system. However, the implementation of runtime model centric monitoring system is time consuming and error-pro. The imple-mentation involves large number of management interfaces which may be changed in software evolution. In addition, there may be data dependency and consistency problems because of asynchronous data collection. In this paper, we proposed a meta-model based approach for automatic generation of runtime model centric monitoring component. We extend MOF with data source speci-fication for monitoring component specification. Based on the specification, code generation algorithm is developed to generate data collector, model con-structor and model viewer as component implementation considering data de-pendency and consistency problems. In the case study, we use our tool to model and generate the monitoring component for Tomcat platform. The result shows that our approach can
