SERMENT is a developmental response matrix code for solving reactor eigenvalue problems, using both classical power iteration and Jacobian-Free Newton-Krylov methods. SERMENT currently uses 2-d diffusion as its underlying transport kernel, and has been used successfully for a number of benchmarks. Current development is focusing on transport-based responses, alternative preconditioners, and coarse-grained parallelism.
