This provides a central resource of information about the technology available at Grinnell College. For the most part, it allows students, faculty, and staff to view the available computer labs and printers on campus; the server on which the map is hosted also runs a set of scripts to calculate statistics on the use of such technology. My vision from the start has been to make the lab as portable as possible, without bloating code or decreasing functionality. And while the map is targeted towards implementation by other colleges, it can easily fit in a corporate environment, as well.
