MySQL Remote Backup
If you wish to minimize the traffic between DB server and Reserve data storage
server or your computer this program is for you.
If in 100Mb base about 100-1000 records have been changed during one day, than
is there any sense to transfer all base on reserve copying server by network
every day?
The answer is obvious: the problem is how to organize transfer of only changes
in base and how then to apply these changes to old backup?
Theoretically it is possible to store backups for enough long time, without
appreciable spending of disk space. A problem of changes searching in text is
already solved by means of the diff utility. It is necessary to apply it to
SQL-files, which were received as a result of mysqldump program work. This
technology is similar to the one, applied at Video compression (the starting
