Chapbook is a lightweight alternative to Docbook or other documentation generation tools that lets you write content in HTML and bind it together with a simple ordered list. Chapbook automatically creates section and page navigation for you, handles bookmarking and history for users, and optionally integrates with [HaloScan](http://www.haloscan.com/) to display user comments on each page. Chapbook degrades gracefully for users without JavaScript or CSS, and content published with it is search engine-accessible.
Chapbook works equally well on your Web site or downloaded to a user"s computer, and requires nothing on the server side.
Although intended for creation of online documentation, Chapbook can be used to create any kind of document that is divided into sections and pages.
