This file lists sovereign states. Each record includes the country name, demonym, ISO letter-code, and a public-domain image of the national flag.
This file can easily be integrated with any filemaker solution requiring nationality-specific data. The inclusion of the ISO code makes it easy to import other data as required (such as IDD dialling codes, currency, etc). Wikipedia has many such lists.
Note: the recognition (and legitimacy) of sovereign states is not a simple issue: some authorities recognise certain states, others do not. My criterion for inclusion in this file was the possession of an ISO code at the time I built the file. Similarly, the name given to each state simply reflects the common usage in UK English. No political opinions or biases are to be implied by the inclusion or omission of any given state.
