JMoteExtract
A Remote File Extraction Tool
This project aims to build a remote file extraction tool
generating as less as possible overhead on network data
flow, when extracting remote files.
Each instance of JMoteExtract acts as both client and
server on the local network to provide as much flexibility
and scalability as feasible.
To extract an archive, which is living on a remote machine, it is
not neccessary to download the archive-file itself or to download
temporary data and write back the result.
The extraction job is added to the extraction queue of the
server and is processed there. One can then download
or stream the result from the server.
JMoteExtract is intended to be used on Windows systems, as most
other OS provide a lot of other tools to do an extraction on
non-local systems. But, sure, as needed I will implement support
of other OS, too ;-)
