Summary
Breadbox is a distributed file system designed for the reliable storage and sharing of files. It is based on an implementation of the Pastry overlay network. The breadbox system consists of three parts: the client, the data and replication manager, and the pastry network.
There are a wide variety of failures, including hardware, software, and user-error, that can result in the loss of important data.
