eBus is in the field of heating technology used interface protocol , based on the serial interface technology RS232 in twisted-pair technology is built with two wires. It was introduced by the firm Dungs. 2400 baud and used here are the respective binary signal levels are at:
logic 1 15 V nominal (15-24 V)
Logic 0 9-12 V
The bus system is multi-master capability with up to max. 25 masters and 228 slaves , for a total maximum of 253 participants.
Used to be 8 bits and one stop bit. The individual devices connected to it may take up to 18 mA current from the mains. It is used especially in the field of heating and solar systems .
