Using DHT to intercommunicate the nodes over heterogeneous network
Actually, until now the DHTLayer project is only just a new edition of Bamboo DHT that supported both IPv6 and IPv4. Form the perspective of function, There is no different but DHTLayer can be run on the top of different IP layer simultaneously, It mean that no matter whether IPv4 node or IPv6 node can join in the same DHT overlay network. However, There are many bugs due to this is first edition. please no hesitate to contact me if you find a bug.
As the name implies, the object of DHTLayer is not only support a DHT implementation support IPv6/IPv4, but to provide a new IPv6/IPv4 transition mechanism in order to implement inter-operation between IPv6 node and IPv4 node. DHTLayer should be viewed as a overlay on the top of heterogeneous networks. It should be also support the Locator and Identifier Separation by using the DHT storage function.
