This is a class file to aid in the typesetting of theses and dissertations at the University of Hawaii at Manoa using LaTeX. The original class file was hacked up from a University of California thesis class and converted to work with LaTeX2e a decade ago. That version has successfully been used to submit theses and dissertations, and appears to work with modern TeX distributions such as TeX Live 2008. The version 1.1.0 download is this original class file.
There is an effort underway to create a new class file that builds on the existing LaTeX report class and uses modern packages. This should ensure better compatibility with 3rd party packages, and make the system more maintainable for future generations. The code available in the
