This project is an open source for people interested in developing Visual Basic codes for bioinformatics/computational biology/systems biology. I am starting this project for the reason that most of the microarray and high-throughput data are available in Excel sheet, which needs a parser. Writing parser in languages like perl may help but requires lot of effort. In addition, reading data from Excel through perl is cumbersome as well as writing back as excel. Also, Microsoft Access databases used by Windows users require Visual Basic based parsers for genomic data. With all these in mind, I am starting this project and require your support to further pursue in this line.
