The main goal of this project was the development and modelling of an intelligent multimodal interface for the smart, assisted furniture, integrating latest technologies in speech, video, sensory, robotics, artificial intelligence, path finding and other areas, targeted at easier, more natural controlling of the technological devices, such as wheelchairs, medical beds, autonomous side-tables, etc. for the users with various motion disabilities. One of the main tasks is the aim to develop not only the theoretical model and algorithm software, but - the development and construction of real, technological prototype, which could be presented to the interested parties (the socially dependent, elderly, disabled people, etc.) and fine-tuned according to the reviews of these groups.
