I took the liberty of disassembling and reverse engineering the Extended Basic Level II extension for VIC20 that Michael Krause and Andreas Dripke published in 1982.
I have fixed about a dozen bugs, included a dozen enhancements and applied a dozen optimizations.
Two keywords (DEC and HARDCOPY) were removed, but the following features have been added:
XOR (to calculate the exclusive-OR of two signed integer operands)
UNNEW (to attempt recovery of a Basic program that still may be in memory)
Left-MID$ (to replace part of a string by another string)
Inline usage of hexadecimal and binary radixes (A=$1E00:B=%1101)
A 4x quicker and more accurate SQR algorithm
I now call it WimBasic.
