Mesh partitioners partition a graph file, or mesh, onto a grid in order to improve the speed of a mesh-based application. PartTools is a collection of scripts and programs for the analysis of a partition, including detailed characteristics, experimental behavior and graphic representation. The tools take into account that the quality of a partition also depends on the characteristics of the heterogeneous platform.
These tools were originally written to help the development of *PaGrid*, an heterogeneous mesh partitioner, by comparing the quality of partitions created by different mesh partitioners on various heterogeneous computational grids. Experimental tools essentially are wrappers around *LiSBench*.
PartTools is a subproject of my Master in Computer Science research at the University of New-Brunswick. I am working with Dr. Eric Au
