The IMP employs novel methods of mixed-reality interaction, human robot interaction, and low-cost range-sensing by combining recent advances in mobile robot and projector-camera systems research. The software has been tested on a platform composed of an iRobot Create robot, two pan-tilt servo motors, a Dell 9” netbook running Ubuntu, a Logitech webcam, a Microvision laser pico projector, and a laser pointer. The software is written in the Processing development environment.
