The main objective of this project is to demonstrate how XMLA can help clients, connecting to OLAP databases, without installing the data provider from the server. Implementation of XMLA for this project is feasible, technologically independent, and is not limited to a specific hardware, operating system, application or development language. All clients using this technology will save time, reduce technical difficulties, and gain efficiencies when connecting to standard data sources, such as relational OLAP and data mining applications.
