General information
steelnzb downloads and decodes binary attachments from usenet and is developed in C. The application reads NZB files that contain information about the articles that should be downloaded. The application is designed to run on systems that have few resources, like platforms for NAS systems.
steelnzb does not have an interface, remote controlling is used instead. Information about the actions of the application are supplied through a socket connection.
Platforms
The currently tested platforms contain the following:
Win32
WinCE (tested Windows Mobile 5)
Fedora 8
Ubuntu
Generally, when the platform supports gcc, libxml2 and pthreads, steelnzb can be compiled and used.
