0) This tool generally maked for fast fixing and/or changing some configuration files, startup scripts, etc.
When you creating your pack, you can use .install file: put into pre\_install/post\_install procs and it will be proceed at appropriate time
1) Designed for bash, but also can run in ksh & zsh.
2) Theoretically you can make fixup package for any linux distribution ;-)
