资 源 简 介
PICTOR is a TUI library developed in the early to mid-1990"s which gave DOS applications a GUI-like look using the IBM PC-compatible text mode of CGA through VGA. This updated version supports the OpenWatcom C Compiler, while attempting to be source-compatible with other compilers such as Microsoft and Borland.
Beyond providing an API for TUI applications, PICTOR also provides an interrupt-driven serial I/O library and text compression routines.
Extended features, such as (experimental) mouse support, can be enabled or disabled using Makefile options.
I do not own the PICTOR library- part of the licensing terms of the original PICTOR library was that modified copies cannot be distributed. However, I have written consent from the original copyright owner to host a modified version which permits someone interested in developing TUI applications, most likely for fun or the benefit of the vintage computing community to use a build platform other than DOS.
