PureStartupUtils offers a clean, elegant solution for handling asynchronous command execution in PureMVC for AS3.
This project was born out of many frustrations with using the Utility_AS3_StartupManager found on the PureMVC.org site. That utility does a very large amount of work, but the trade off is an API that is laborious to use and maintain, as well as the fact that it moves startup control logic to the model layer. I suspect this is due to the libraries functionality around pre-loading runtime assets.
PureStartupUtils is a very targeted utility library that does the following:
* asynchronous command execution
* tracking and management of a given command"s dependencies on the execution of prerequisite command classes
Currently, it is only supported for AS3, both standard and multicore editions.
